- Wemo® Setup
Before you begin with the setup, here are a few things to consider:
- Make sure to have to latest Wemo app installed on your mobile device.
- Your mobile device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi where you want to install your Wemo device.
- You may be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi password. Make sure to have it ready. If you are using a Belkin router, you can access the web-based set up page of your router to check your Wi-Fi settings. To learn how, click here. If you want to change the settings using the router's Dashboard, click here.
- Additionally, you may need to disable Smart network switch (sometimes called Mobile Network Switch and Auto-switch to mobile network) on your Android™ device. For instructions, click here. If you're using an iOS device, you may need to disable Wi-Fi Assist instead. To learn more, click here.

NOTE: If your Wemo Mini has a HomeKit code, you can set it up with the Apple Home app. If your Wemo Mini does not have a HomeKit code, you will need to set it up with the Wemo app.
