How to remove a Wemo device from the Apple Home app

If you plan to remove a HomeKit® compatible device from your Wi-Fi, you will need to remove it from your Apple® Home app as well to avoid any potential issues setting up the device in the future.  This will also keep the device from showing in your Home app even though it is no longer on your network.  

This article will walk you through removing a device from your Apple Home app.

Step 1:  Open the Home app then tap and hold the tile of the device you wish to remove.

Step 2:  Tap on the gear icon in the lower right corner to bring up the device settings.  

Step 3:  Scroll down and tap Remove Accessory.

Step 4:  A confirmation pop-up will appear.  Tap Remove to confirm.
