The Belkin F1DN005U is not recognized by the Belkin Secure KVM.
Solution:
It was discovered that some Belkin F1DN005U smart card readers do not have the required grounding between a pin on the USB and the USB shielding. To compensate, Belkin has included a short USB extender that properly grounds the pin. To know how to use the extension cable, follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Connect the USB connector of the Belkin F1DN005U to the extension cable.
Step 2:
Plug the extension cable into the Belkin Secure KVM’s CAC port.
