Connecting to the Wi-Fi
Tap the Quick Settings icon at the top-right hand corner of the Home screen.
Step 2:
Tap Wi-Fi.
Step 3:
Ensure that the Wireless Network is switched ON.
Step 4:
Tap the Wi-Fi name you want to connect to from the list of available networks.
IMPORTANT: If your Wi-Fi name doesn't appear, turn the Wireless Network OFF then ON to refresh the list.
Step 5:
Enter the Wi-Fi password using the onscreen keyboard.
QUICK TIP: Tap the 123!? key to enter numbers or symbols. Tap the ABC key to return to the regular keyboard. Tap the Shift key (up arrow) for uppercase letters.
Step 6:
Tap Connect.
NOTE: Once connected to your Wi-Fi, Kindle Fire automatically connects whenever that network is within range.
Step 1:

Tap Wi-Fi.
NOTE: Ensure that Wireless Network is switched ON.
Step 3:
Scroll down and tap Add a Network.
Step 4:
Enter the Wi-Fi name that you want to add.
Step 5:
Tap the Security box and select your Wi-Fi type of encryption.
Step 6:
If you select an encryption other than Open, tap the Password box.
Step 7:
Enter your Wi-Fi password using the onscreen keyboard.

Step 8:
Tap Save, then select Connect.
NOTE: If your Kindle Fire fails to connect to the Wi-Fi, it will display an Unable to Connect message. You can try again by manually entering all the network information of the Wi-Fi by choosing Set Up. If you don't know the Wi-Fi information, try connecting to a different network, contact the network's administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
