Disabling Quality of Service feature of your Belkin router

Quality of Service (QoS) allows your router to prioritize different applications (such as online games and web browsing) to specific devices to provide maximum level of performance in terms of data flow.  Disabling QoS will increase bandwidth on other applications that are not prioritized.

IMPORTANT:  When QoS is disabled, the priority set by QoS will no longer apply.

Follow the steps below to learn how to disable the QoS feature of your Belkin router.

QUICK TIP:  Before you begin, make sure that you know the admin password of your router.

Step 1:
Launch a web browser.  Then enter your router's IP address.

QUICK TIP:  The default IP address of Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1.
