How to create a Scene in your Apple Home app

In Apple® Home, Scenes allow you to control multiple accessories at the same time. Using a Scene, it is possible to have multiple functions happen at once depending upon the devices in the Scene. For example, you can create a night-time Scene which dims the lights in your rooms and turns ON your porch lights. You can also create a movie time Scene which dims the lights, turns ON your home theater equipment and your television.

Step 1: Open the Apple Home app and navigate to your Home or to a Room.

NOTE: Creating a Scene on the Home screen will prompt you to choose accessories in your home to be part of the Scene. Creating a Scene from a Room screen will include the devices in that room by default as part of the Scene.

Step 2: Tap on the plus sign in the top-right corner.

Step 3: Choose Add Scene.

Step 4: Choose the settings for your Scene.

Name - Set the name of your Scene.
Devices - Choose the devices you want to control and the action you want them to perform when this Scene is activated.
Options:
Test This Scene - This activates the Scene to see if it is performing as expected. This does not save the Scene.
Add Accessories - This allows you to add more accessories to the Scene.
Include in Favorites - This allows you to toggle favorite status ON and OFF for this Scene. Your favorite Scenes are listed on the Home screen of the Home app.
