How To Create Nest Home And Away Rule For Your Wemo®

One of the major selling points of the Wemo® line of products is the ability to control them from anywhere you are in the world.  But did you know that you can also set them to work autonomously?

You can pair your Nest® Thermostat account with your Wemo network to begin using your Nest to control your Wemo devices.  Once paired, your Nest can be used to turn your Wemo devices ON or OFF just by changing its mode to Home or Away.

Before creating a Nest Home and Away rule, make sure to do the following first:
  • Install your Wemo device.  To learn how, click here.
  • Download and install the latest Wemo App from Google Play™ on your Android™ device or from the App Store® on your iOS device and associate it with your Wemo device.

What devices are compatible with this rule?
Nest Home and Away rules require a Nest Thermostat and a Nest account to work.  For more information, click here.  Once your Nest Thermostat is set up and working, you can begin to create Nest Home and Away rules.
