Configuring the Parental Internet Control feature on the router through the Dashboard

You can block all devices or a specific device connected to your network using the Parental Internet Control feature on your Belkin router.  This article will show you how using your Belkin router’s Dashboard.  
 
NOTE:  The feature may NOT work as intended if:
  • Your computer or device is connected via Virtual Private Network (VPN) or is routing traffic through a proxy server
  • A previously visited site information is still on the browser cache of the device
  • You manually configured Domain Name System (DNS) servers on your computer or device
Step 1:
Open a web browser such as Firefox® and type “https://router” or your router's IP Address in the Address bar, then press [Enter] to access the Dashboard.

NOTE:  If you haven't made changes to your Belkin router's IP Address, the default is 192.168.2.1.  For instructions on how to check your router's IP Address, click here.

Step 2:
Click the User-added image  button.
 
NOTE:  You may also click on Advanced Settings then under the Parental Controls section, click Parental Internet Control.

Step 3:
Enter your router's password and click Let Me in! when the login prompt appears.

Step 4:
On the Parental Internet Control page, toggle the switch to blocked to deny or unblocked to allow Internet access on your device of choice. 

QUICK TIP:  You can also Schedule Internet access to block by School nights or Weekends.  For instructions, click here.

NOTE:  Devices not connected to your network might not show up on the list.
 
Step 5:
Click the User-added image button to apply changes.

 
You should have now configured the Parental Internet Control feature of your Belkin router.  If you encounter any problems configuring this feature, such as devices not showing up, you might have to upgrade your Belkin router's firmware.  For instructions, click here.
