Belkin KMs feature a mode called Guard Mode. Guard Mode is used for switching between connected computers by simply moving the mouse. When enabled, users are required to hold the Left CTRL key when moving between channels. Disabling Guard Mode removes this restriction, allowing users to switch by simply moving the mouse.

1. Log in to the Administration Configuration Terminal.
2. Choose Menu 3 – configure sc.
3. Choose Menu 6 – Guard Mode Configuration.
4. Choose disable Guard Mode. Once done, you will need to power cycle the KM to save the setting and remove Guard Mode.
Re-enable Guard Mode
To re-enable Guard Mode, follow steps 1 through 3 and then choose enable Guard Mode. Power cycle the KVM to save the setting and re-enable Guard Mode.
