The Reset to Factory Defaults option will erase all customizations of your KVM / KM and non-critical system logs. A factory reset will not reset the default administrator password or erase critical system logs that contain information such as failed login attempts and tamper events.
IMPORTANT: A factory restore will remove all child administrator accounts, but no changes will be made to the default administrator account. It is highly recommended that you do not perform a factory restore if you have lost the password to the default administrator account, as you will lose all access to the Administrator Configuration Terminal once the child administrator accounts are erased.
Choosing Menu option 5 performs an immediate restore. Your displays will temporarily go blank, you will temporarily lose keyboard and mouse control. An output of what is being done will be sent to the Terminal window and then the KVM / KM will power cycle to complete the restore. Once powered back ON, you will be logged out of the Terminal and will need to restore the connection and log back in.
