How to create a new speaker group with Google Home app

By default, your Belkin SOUNDFORM™ ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger, G1S0001 or any Google Home™ smart speaker works as a stand-alone unit.  The Google Home app allows you to combine multiple speakers together into groups to enhance the functionality of the speakers.  A speaker group plays the same audio to all speakers in the group, regardless of the room they are in.  This article will walk you through creating a speaker group.

Before you begin, you will need the following:

  • One or more Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE devices or any Google Home-compatible smart speaker
  • Latest Google Home app installed on your smartphone or tablet
  • Make sure that your smartphone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your smart speaker
