What to do if computer screen goes transparent when switching to other screens

Scenario:  While configuring my KVM switch, the computer screen goes transparent when switching to other screens if the cursor hovers over the taskbar at the bottom.  Sometimes, the cursor is also difficult to find.
 
Solution:  This happens because the Transparent Window feature based on Aero Peek when a higher Windows® OS is enabled.  For instructions on how you can resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
 
Step 1:
Go to your computer’s Desktop screen.
 

Step 2:
Right click on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
 

Step 3:
Select Properties.

Step 4:
Uncheck Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop.
 
NOTE:  This feature is checked by default.

Step 5:
Click Apply then OK to save settings.
