This is located on top of the Belkin logo, which is in front of the Wi-Fi range extender.  This shows the Wi-Fi range extender’s status.  Below are the different status lights of the Belkin F9K1015.
  • If Off – The Wi-Fi range extender is not connected to a power source.
  • If Blinking Blue – The Wi-Fi range extender is starting up.
  • If Solid Blue – The Wi-Fi range extender is connected to the wireless network.
  • If Blinking Orange – The Wi-Fi range extender is not connected to the wireless network.
  • If Solid Orange – The Wi-Fi range extender is experiencing a weak signal.
  • If Alternating Blue and Orange – The Wi-Fi range extender is ready to be set up.

1. How do I set up the Belkin F9K1015?

You need to know the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password before setting up your Wi-Fi range extender.  If your router is dual-band, you need to take note of the 2.4 GHz band only.

Yes, you can.  For WPA2, you can use any password up to 8-63 characters in length.  For WEP, you can use any character between 0-9 and a-f.  However, it is recommended to use the same password that you use with your main router.

If the Belkin Setup cannot detect your Wi-Fi range extender, make sure that it is plugged in to a power source.

The Belkin F9K1015 supports 802.11e / WMM® QoS.  It is recommended to leave this enabled for optimal performance of your Wi-Fi range extender.
