Getting an "Unable to access photos" error when using Wemo® NetCam on an iOS device

If you are using an iOS device running on iOS 6.0 or above, you might encounter an "Unable to access photos" error message while trying to use your Wemo® NetCam.  This means that the photo or video you take with NetCam is not showing up in your device's photo library.

The steps below cover the following products:
  • Wemo® NetCam Wi-Fi® Camera with Night Vision, F7D7601
  • Wemo® NetCam HD Wi-Fi® HD Camera with Night Vision, F7D7602
  • Wemo® NetCam HD+ Wi-Fi® Camera with Glass Lens and Night Vision, F7D7606

When the NetCam App isn't allowed access to photo library, it will not be able to record or save pictures or videos.  If for some reason, the App's access to your photo library has been disabled or denied, you will need to manually configure your settings to allow the App to access your photo library.  Follow the instructions below to learn how:
 
Step 1:  Open Settings.
 
Step 2:  Tap Privacy.
 
Step 3:  Tap Photos.
 
Step 4:  Ensure that NetCam is turned ON or switched to the right.
 
Now you will be able to take pictures and video with your NetCam anytime or anywhere, and it will show up in your iOS device's photo / video library.
