How to Force Close your Wemo App

There are instances when you may need to force your Wemo App to close if it does not receive motion notifications or it unexpectedly freezes or becomes unresponsive.  Follow the instructions below on how to force close your Wemo App.
 

iOS Device

Step 1:  Double tap the Home button.

Step 2:  Swipe left to find the app you want to close.  Tap on the Wemo App.

Step 3:  Swipe up on the User-added image preview to close it.
 
QUICK TIP:  In iOS 7, you can forcibly close multiple apps at the same time.  Just tap and hold on up to three apps and swipe the screen up at the same time to close them.

NOTE:  If the steps above won’t work, you may need to reset the Wemo device.  For instructions, click here.
 

Android™ Device

Step 1:  Go to the Settings option on your device.

Step 2:  Tap Apps or Applications.

Step 3:  Select the Wemo App from the list and tap Force Stop.
 
QUICK TIP:  If you can’t get the app to run after you have forcibly closed the Wemo icon, unplug the Wemo® device from the power outlet then wait for about 20 seconds before you plug it back in.  Give the Wemo App time to sync with the Wemo device.
