Setting up the Belkin Wi-Fi Range Extender wirelessly

The Belkin Wi-Fi Range Extenders are devices that act as repeaters for the router's wireless signal. They can be set up without using cables and wires.  The steps below will guide you on how to set up your range extender wirelessly

Before you begin, ensure that you have the following:
  • A Belkin Wi-Fi Range Extender.
  • An existing Wi-Fi® network and its wireless router's network name (SSID) and wireless password.

QUICK TIP:  If you are using a dual-band router, secure the SSID and wireless password of both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network bands.

  • A Wi-Fi-capable device (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone).

NOTE:  Details on the troubleshooting steps and images may vary depending on the wireless devices you are using.  In the examples shown below, an iPad Air® was used to set up a Belkin Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender.

Step 1:
Plug in your range extender into a power outlet that is within the range of your router's wireless network.
