How to restore the Wemo Outdoor Plug

Restoring your Wemo® device removes all custom settings and returns it to a factory default state.  This method should only be done in troubleshooting situations.

This article provides a step-by-step guide in restoring your Wemo WiFi Smart Outdoor Plug, WSP090 to its default settings.  For instructions on performing a Wi-Fi reset on the Wemo Outdoor Plug, click

Step 1:  Unplug your Wemo.

Step 2:  Hold down the Power button.

Step 3:  While holding the power button down, plug your Wemo into a power outlet and continue to hold the power button down until the status light begins to rapidly flash white.

Step 4:  Release the power button.  It should take about 60 to 90 seconds for the Wemo Outdoor Plug to restore and reboot.  It will alternately blink white and orange when finished.

NOTE:  Due to the design of the product, you may not be able to see the light while trying to hold the power button down.  If possible, use two fingers when holding the power button so you can check the status of the light.
