How to check the Belkin router’s Guest Access settings

The Guest Access wireless network name (SSID) and Password is important especially if you have a guest who is trying to connect to your wireless network.  This information can be accessed through the web-based setup page of your Belkin router.

Follow the steps below to learn how to check the wireless settings of your Belkin router:

IMPORTANT:  Make sure that your computer is already connected to your Belkin router before performing the steps below.

Checking the router's Guest Access settings
Step 1:
Launch a web browser like Internet Explorer.
Step 2:
Enter "" as the router's default IP address in the Address bar, then press [Enter].
NOTE:  If the default IP address doesn't work, check your router's IP address.  For instructions, click here.

QUICK TIP:  You may also enter "https://router" in the Address bar to access the router's web-based setup page.

You will then be directed to the router's web-based setup page similar to the one below.  If you want to change or configure any settings, you will need to log in with your router's administrator password by clicking on Login at the top right corner of the page.
Step 3:
Enter your router's Password then click Submit.

Step 4:
Click Guest Access under Wireless.

NOTE:  For some router models, the left navigation of the web-based set-up page does not include the Guest Access.  In this case, click Security.
Step 5:
Take note of the SSID as this is the wireless network name of your Guest Access, as well as the Pre-shared Key (PSK) for the password.
NOTE:  Uncheck the Obscure PSK box to display the password in the Pre-shared Key (PSK) field.

You should have successfully checked the wireless Guest Access settings now.
