Understanding the Equalizer Frequency Sliders

The Belkin SOUNDFORM app features a five-frequency equalizer slider set, which allows you to customize your listening experience when using a SOUNDFORM audio product.

The Equalizer goes from -5 dB at the bottom of the bar to +5 dB at the top of the bar.  Tapping and holding on the white button allows you to slide the bar up and down.

The Equalizer bar is divided into three sections:

  • Lows - 150 Hz
  • Mids – 400 Hz, 1 kHz, 3 kHz
  • Highs – 8 kHz

Adjusting each frequency bar will impact a specific part of the audio you are listening to:

  • 150 Hz – This is the low frequency used for producing a harder-hitting bass sound.  This will bring out drums and bass sounds.
  • 400 Hz – This is for the lower mid-range frequencies.  It is used to enhance the lower range sounds heard on instruments such as pianos and guitars.
  • 1 kHz – This is for the mid-range frequencies.  It is used to enhance vocals and most mid-range instruments such as strings.
  • 3 kHz – This is an upper mid-range frequency.  This will enhance most of your higher instrumental sounds.
  • 8 kHz – This is part of the high-range frequency.  This will enhance the higher notes of music.
