1.  What is the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case?
 

The Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case is the perfect companion for your iPad® as it not only protects your device but also turns it into a laptop alternative.  Experience the following features with your Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case:

4.  What is the battery life on the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case?
 

For iPad 2, 3, and 4 the built-in battery can live up to 160 hours of battery life between charges and lasts up to 1,900 hours in standby mode.   For iPad Air, the long-lasting battery offers 264 hours of active battery life and 4,300 hours of standby.  The keyboard will enter standby mode after 10 seconds of inactivity.  This will prevent draining the battery's power.

5.  What do the LEDs of the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case indicate?

Power Indication – A blue LED stays solid for five (5) seconds.
 
Low Battery or Power Alarm – A blue LED will be displayed.
 
Battery Indication

  •     If it is Low Battery – An amber LED will flash one (1) time per second for one (1) minute.
  •     If it is Charging – An amber LED lights ON during charging and lights OFF when charging is complete.

Connection Indication

    During Pairing – A blue LED will flash one (1) time per second for five (5) minutes.
    While re-connecting – A blue LED will flash two (2) times per second for 10 seconds.
    If it is connected – A blue LED will stay solid for two (2) seconds.
    If pairing list is cleaned up – Both LEDs will flash then turn OFF.

1.  How do I set up the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case?
 

Setting up your keyboard case is quick and easy.  You just need to insert your iPad and connect to it via Bluetooth.  For instructions on how to set up the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case, click here.
 

2.  How do I charge the Belkin QODE­™ Ultimate Keyboard Case?
 

To charge the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case, connect one end of the micro-USB to the QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case and connect the other end to a computer or to a USB wall adapter.  An amber LED lights ON during charging and lights OFF when charging is complete.  For more details on how to charge your Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case, click here.
 

3.  How long should I charge the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case before its first use?
 

The Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case requires approximately 2.5 hours of charging for first time use.

4.  How do I know when it is already time to charge?

The LEDs of the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case will indicate when it is time to charge.  The list below will guide you:

  • If it is Low battery – An amber LED will flash one (1) time per second for one (1) minute.
  • If it is Charging – An amber LED lights ON during charging and lights OFF when charging is complete.

5.  How do I connect to the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case with Bluetooth®?
 

Bluetooth Pairing must be performed every time you want to use the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case with a different iPad.  Connect to the QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case with Bluetooth to start using your iPad like a laptop and enjoy the convenience it brings.  For instructions, click here.
 

TROUBLESHOOTING
 

1.  What should I do if the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case keys won't register on my iPad®?
 

If your Belkin keyboard isn't responding, it may have lost the Bluetooth connection.  Check your iPad settings and connect to the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case via Bluetooth in case the connection is lost.  To learn how to connect to the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case via Bluetooth, click here. 
 

With the introduction of iOS7, Search and Slideshow keys no longer perform such tasks.
 

NOTE:  Search key is now known as Spotlight in iOS7.
 

3.  Why is my iPad freezing while using the Bluetooth keyboard?
 

If you have purchased a QODE™ Keyboard and upgraded your iPad to iOS 7 you may experience issues with your iPad freezing.  While the issue is rare, it is not unique to Belkin Keyboards and can occur with all Bluetooth keyboards when syncing with the iPad.  This is due to a functionality change in iOS 7 that was not present in iOS 6.
