Getting to know the parts of the Wemo Dimmer WDS070

This article will help you identify the parts of the Wemo Smart Dimmer with Thread, WDS070

  • Status light:  This is a four-color light that signifies the status of the Wemo Dimmer WDS070.
  • Top button:  This button is used to turn ON the lights and change the brightness.
  • Bottom button:  This button is used to turn OFF the lights or lower the brightness.
  • Power cut-OFF tab:  This a pull-out tab used to stop power from flowing to the connected bulbs.  Pull this out before changing a bulb to avoid damaging either the Wemo Dimmer WDS070 or the bulb.
  • Reset button:  This is used to reboot and restore the Wemo Dimmer WDS070.

  • Terminal screws:  These screws are used to hold the wires in place.  Each screw is color-coded.
  • Push-in terminals:  These terminals are used to connect wires using a push-in connection.  There are two holes for each terminal but only one is necessary when wiring in your Wemo Dimmer WDS070.  A hole can be used but the correct wire must be placed in the correct terminal.
