1.  What is the Belkin QODE Thin Type Keyboard Case for iPad Air, F5L155?

The Belkin QODE Thin Type Keyboard Case for iPad Air, F5L155 is a Bluetooth® 3.0, rechargeable, ultra slim and stylish designed keyboard.  It automatically turns ON when iPad® is attached.

IMPORTANT:  Before using your Belkin QODE Keyboard, make sure to disconnect the Bluetooth devices previously connected to it.  Also, if the keyboard layout of your device is different from that of your Hardware Keyboard, you must change the keyboard language to update the output.  Modifying only the iPad® or mobile phone language will not change the keyboard output.  For more information on how to change this on your Android™ device, click here.  For more information on how to change this on your iOS device, click here.

2.  What devices are compatible with the Belkin F5L155?

The Belkin F5L155 is designed to work for iPad 5th generation.
 
3.  How do I pair the Belkin F5L155?

Follow the steps below to pair your keyboard case with your
Belkin F5L155:

Step 1:
On your iPad, tap Settings.

Step 2:
Tap Bluetooth.

Step 3:
Toggle Bluetooth to turn ON.

NOTE:  The Status light will flash blue on the keyboard, and it will show up under Devices on your iPad.

Step 4:
Tap Belkin Thin Type Keyboard.


4.  What does the light of the Belkin F5L155 indicate?
 
The light of the Belkin F5L155 indicates the following conditions:
 

i. During connection

  • Pairing – Blue light will flash once every second for 5 minutes.
  • Re-connecting – Blue light will flash twice every second for 10 seconds.
  • Connected – Blue light will stay solid for 2 seconds.
  • Cleaned up pairing list – Light will flash twice and then will turn OFF.

ii. Battery indicating

  • Low battery – Orange light will flash once every second for 1 minute.
  • Charging – Orange light will turn ON until charging is complete.

5.  Does the Belkin F5L155 have an automatic ON/ OFF switch?
 
The Belkin F5L155 is equipped with an automatic ON/OFF switch that is activated by your iPad Air’s weight.  It’s best to use the Thin Type on a hard, steady surface to ensure it performs as designed.  If the Thin Type Keyboard is on your lap and isn’t responding, please make sure the iPad Air is centered correctly and the keyboard will reactivate.
 
6.  How many iPads can I connect with the Belkin F5L155?
 
The Belkin F5L155 may not automatically connect to the tablet when more than four other keyboards are connected.  This can be resolved by manually pairing the tablet or removing the other Bluetooth keyboards from the tablet settings.

If you have purchased a QODE Keyboard and upgraded your iPad to iOS 7, you may experience issues with your iPad freezing.  While the issue is rare, it is not unique to Belkin Keyboards and can occur with all Bluetooth keyboards when syncing with the iPad.  This is due to a functionality change in iOS 7 that was not present in iOS 6.
