How To Set Up the Magnetic Phone Tripod Mount

Check if your phone will stick
  • Look at your phone case first.
  • If your case is MagSafe or magnetic-compatible, you are good to go.
  • If your phone has Qi2 magnetic support, you are good to go.
  • If your phone does not stick firmly to a magnetic charger or magnetic wallet, you will need a magnetic-compatible case or a magnetic ring accessory.

  • Wipe the back of your phone or case with a dry cloth.
  • Wipe the flat magnetic surface of the mount with a dry cloth. Dust can weaken the grip.

  • Hold the mount in one hand.

  • Bring the back of the phone close to the mount.
  • Let it "snap" into place.

  • Turn the phone vertical for most social videos.
  • Turn the phone sideways for wide video.

Adjust the angle
  • Move the mount so the phone points at your face or your subject.
  • When it looks right, stop moving it and keep it steady.

Do a quick safety check before recording
  • Tap the screen lightly.
  • The phone should not wobble or slide.
  • If it moves, remove a thick case and try again.
