- How to set up Dynamic DNS (DDNS) on your Belkin router
Belkin routers support Dynamic DNS in their firmware. These services are provided by DynDNS.org and/or No-IP.com. This article assumes that you've already created a DDNS account with a service like DynDNS.org.
Follow the steps below to learn how to set up Dynamic DNS on your Belkin router:
Launch a web browser such as Internet Explorer®.
Enter "192.168.2.1" as the router's default IP Address in the Address bar, then press [ENTER]. If it doesn't work, check your router's IP Address and enter the current IP Address instead. For instructions, click here.
NOTE: You may also enter "https://router" in the Address bar to access the Dashboard.
On your router's Dashboard, under Advanced Settings > Firewall, click DDNS.
On the DDNS tab, select a DDNS provider from the drop-down menu.
NOTE: The DDNS Service options may vary from one router model to another. If you have a Belkin F9K1002 v5 router and the No-IP service is not available in the drop-down list, you may have to upgrade the firmware of your router. For instructions, click here.
Enter the information from your DDNS account.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to use a valid account from your chosen DDNS Service. If you don't have an account yet, sign up first before doing this.
You should have successfully set up a Dynamic DNS on your router now.
