Does it need an external power supply?No. The hub does not require or include an external power supply unit (PSU). It is powered directly through your laptop's USB-C port via the built-in 22cm tethered cable.

However, for pass-through charging, you will need to connect your own USB-C charger (60W or higher recommended) to the dedicated USB-C PD 3.0 port to charge your host device while using the hub.
COMPATIBILITY
What devices will work with the Belkin INC027?It works with most USB-C and Thunderbolt 3/4/5 devices including MacBook Pro/Air, iPad Pro, Windows laptops, Chromebooks, and USB-C smartphones that support DisplayPort Alt Mode and PD charging.
Can it connect to monitors or TVs?Yes. The HDMI 2.0 port supports resolutions up to 4K at 60 Hz for smooth and sharp display output. Actual resolution depends on the device’s graphics capabilities.  
FUNCTIONALITY
Can I charge my laptop while using the hub?Yes. The USB-C PD port supports up to 100 W input power, with about 85 W available to the host after hub operation. It allows you to charge your laptop and use connected accessories at the same time.
Does the hub support data transfer while charging?Yes. You can transfer files through USB or SD slots and simultaneously charge your device thanks to its pass-through charging design.
Is it safe to use with all devices?Absolutely. It has Belkin’s 6-Point Safety System that guards against over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, over-load, and short-circuit conditions while using fire-resistant materials for extra protection.
Can I use all ports at the same time?Yes, all ports can operate simultaneously. However, total power distribution depends on the connected devices and the power input. Using high-draw peripherals together may reduce charging speed for the host device.
Does the HDMI port support extended and mirrored displays?Yes. It supports both mirror and extended display modes, depending on your device’s graphics capabilities and operating system. Most Windows and macOS systems support both options.
Can I connect external hard drives and flash drives at once?Yes. You can connect multiple storage devices through the USB-A and USB-C data ports. The hub supports 5 Gbps transfer speeds for fast file access.
What does the button with the monitor icon do?That is the Monitor Privacy Button. Pressing it once instantly turns off all connected external displays without shutting down your laptop or interrupting your work. Press it again to turn the displays back on. The LED indicator on the button will turn amber when the displays are off (privacy mode active) and white during normal use. This feature is useful when you need a quick moment of privacy — such as when stepping away from your desk or during a meeting.
