NOTE: The Wemo 3-Way Light Switch is used in the examples below.
Step 2: Tap on the Edit icon located at the top-right corner. It will change to Done to show that it is in Edit mode.
Step 3: Locate the Wemo device you wish to reset and tap on the green arrow to open the specific Device Edit menu.
Step 4: On the Edit screen, tap Reset Options.
Step 5: Tap on either Reset Wi-Fi settings or Erase All Content and Settings. A dialog box will pop up to verify if this is what you would like to perform.
Step 6: Tap on Yes to continue (or Cancel to stop and go back).
Through the external bar
The Wemo Light Switches (Wemo WLS0403 and WLS040) have a dedicated external bar located under the Wemo brand. To do the restart or reset using the bar, follow the steps below:
Step 2: Underneath the Wemo brand, there will be a solid white bar to activate the options. You will see the options RESTART, RESET WIFI and RESTORE.
Step 3: Depending on which action you want to apply, carefully read the instructions first to know how long you need to hold down the bar:
- RESTART - Press and hold the bar for 2 seconds. Release the bar when the ring light turns white.
- RESET WIFI - Press and hold the bar until the ring light turns blue, then release it.
- RESTORE (Reset to factory defaults) - Press and hold the bar until the ring light turns red, then release it. Wait for the Light Switch to reboot. When the ring light is flashing blue, then the Light Switch is ready for setup.
