Wemo WiFi Smart Plug international products compatibility statement

Wemo WiFi Smart Plug international products are made to only work in the Apple® Home app (also known as HomeKit® ecosystem). Our relaunch in international markets is based on guaranteeing strong product reliability and security, and HomeKit is the best smart home ecosystem in those categories.

Our HomeKit-only Wemo® products are not designed to, nor are supported to be used with the Wemo app. Attempting to set up or use HomeKit-only Wemo products with the Wemo app will not work and will not be supported. This applies to both iOS and Android™ phones and tablets.

HomeKit-compatible iOS devices are automatically compatible with these Wemo products using the Apple Home app. Android devices will not be compatible since HomeKit is exclusive to Apple devices and are not supported for use with these new HomeKit-only Wemo devices.
