The Wemo I’m trying to set up doesn’t appear in the Wemo app’s list of devices

If you are trying to set up a Wemo® device but don’t see it in the Wemo app, you likely have a HomeKit®-only Wemo product.  HomeKit-only Wemo products are not designed for the Wemo app and can only be set up and controlled using the Apple® Home app.

Below are the Wemo products that are only for Apple HomeKit:

 
  • Wemo WiFi Smart Plug for Europe, WSP080-EU
  • Wemo WiFi Smart Plug for United Kingdom, WSP080-UK
  • Wemo WiFi Smart Plug for Hong Kong, Macao and Singapore, WSP080-AH
  • Wemo WiFi Smart Plug for Korea, WSP080-KR
  • Wemo WiFi Smart Plug for Middle East, WSP080-ME
  • Wemo WiFi Smart Plug for France, WSP080-FR
  • Wemo Stage Smart Scene Controller, WSC010

The Apple Home app is a pre-installed application on iOS devices and is available in the App Store®.  If you want to control your Wemo with the Apple Home app while away from home, you’ll need a home hub that is always connected to the internet.  This may be a HomePod®, an Apple TV® (4K or HD with the latest tvOS™) or an iPad® with the latest iOS version.
