How to create a Wemo Account

Before you can install a new Wemo® device, a Wemo Account is needed.  This secured and centralized system is used to manage the Wemo line of products.  Creating an account is simple and easy.  Follow the steps below to learn how.

  • The latest version of the Wemo App installed on your mobile device
  • A valid / working email address

Step 1:  Launch the Wemo App.

Step 2:  Tap on Create An Account.

Step 3:  Enter a valid email address and tap Next.  Your account confirmation will be sent to this email.

  • Your email address will also serve as your username.
  • You have the option to receive promotional emails and information about becoming a beta tester for new Wemo products.
  • If you do not want to receive emails, simply uncheck the green circle.  Wemo will still be able to send you important emails for your Wemo Account.
Step 4:  Enter a password for your Wemo Account.  Tap Next to continue.

NOTE:  The password must be at least 10 characters long.

Step 5:  Select a name or nickname you want for yourself in your Wemo App.  Tap Next to continue.

Step 6:  Verify your new Wemo Account through the email you used to set up this account.  For instructions, click here

You can now open the Wemo App and log in through your Wemo Account.
