Turning Bypass Mode ON or OFF on the Wemo Doorbell

Bypass mode is used when you are not going to use the mechanical chime for your Wemo Smart Video Doorbell, WDC010 .  After installing the chime bypass connector, your Wemo Doorbell will need to be placed into bypass mode.  This keeps it from trying to ring your doorbell chime.

If you wish to use your doorbell chime again, you will need to place your Wemo Doorbell back into Chime Mode.  This can be done without restoring the Wemo Doorbell.

IMPORTANT:  When using the Wemo Doorbell in bypass mode, make sure to leave the Chime Doorbell setting in the Home app set to off.  This will reduce the risk of damaging your Wemo Doorbell.
