HARDWARE INFORMATION

What hat type of connection does this device use? 

The CAB029 uses Bluetooth (version 5.3) for tracking and communication with your smartphone. 

Does the device have a built-in speaker?  

Yes. It includes a loud speaker (~100 dB) to help you locate your item with sound alerts.  

How is the device attached to items?  
It has an integrated loop design (approx. 6 inches) for easy and secure attachment—no extra accessories needed. 
How do I charge the device?  
You can charge it using the built-in USB-C cable. 

Steps to charge: 

  1. Plug the USB-C cable into a compatible charger 

  1. Connect to a power source 

  1. Wait until fully charged (approx. 90 minutes)  

How long does the battery last?  
The battery can last up to 6 months on a single charge, depending on usage. 
Is the device water-resistant?  
Yes. It has an IPX5 water-resistant rating, protecting it from splashes and rain.

What compatible devices will work with CAB029? 

The SureFind Loop Cable Tag is compatible with smartphones using supported tracking applications. It supports Apple Find My (iOS devices), and Google Find My Device (Android devices). 

FUNCTIONALITY

How do I set up the CAB029?  

Setup is quick and done through your smartphone. 

Steps to set up: 

  1. Open Apple Find My or Google Find My Device 

  1. Turn on Bluetooth 

  1. Follow the in-app pairing instructions 

  1. Start tracking your item 

The device is ready to use within seconds. 

How do I locate my item?   You can locate your item using the app. Steps to locate: 

  1. Open the tracking app 

  1. Select your CAB029 device 

  1. Tap “Play Sound” or “Find” 

  1. Follow the sound or map location 

Does it notify me if I leave an item behind?  Yes. The device supports left-behind alerts to notify you when your item is out of range. 
Can I track the device remotely?  
Yes. You can track it through: 

  • Proximity search (nearby via Bluetooth) 

  • Network-based tracking using the supported app ecosystem 

What should I do if the device does not connect?  
Try the following steps: 

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on 

  1. Check if the device is charged 

  1. Restart the tracking app 

  1. Reset and re-pair the device if needed 

(Reset details depend on product button sequence.) 

What should I do if I cannot hear the sound alert?  
Try these steps: 

  1. Make sure the device is within range 

  1. Trigger “Play Sound” again from the app 

  1. Check battery level in the app 

  1. Move closer to the device 

Can I use the cable for charging other devices?  
Yes. The built-in USB-C cable can also be used as an emergency charging cable for compatible devices.
