How To Set the Belkin Stage Magnetic Phone Mount on a Tripod

Set up the tripod first
  • Put the tripod on a flat surface or flat ground.
  • Open the tripod legs fully so it feels stable.
  • Set the tripod height. Start around chest height if you are filming yourself.

Attach the mount to the tripod
  • Look at the top of the tripod for the screw post.
  • Line up the mount with that screw.
  • Twist the mount onto the tripod until it feels tight.
  • Do not over-tighten. Hand-tight is enough.

Point the mount in the right direction
  • Turn the mount so the flat magnetic face points at where you want to film.
  • Tilt it up or down until it matches your shot.

Attach your phone
  • Hold your phone with two hands.
  • Bring it close to the mount and let it snap on.
  • Rotate the phone vertical or sideways depending on your video.

Lock in your framing
  • Step back and look at your screen.
  • Move the tripod slightly left or right if you are off-center.
  • Adjust the mount angle until your face is in frame.
