How to Pair the Belkin Connect Keyboard with Your iPad

 
Before You Start
  • Make sure your iPad is turned ON.
  • Keep your iPad close to the keyboard.

Set Up the Keyboard
  • Place the Belkin Connect Keyboard on a flat surface.
  • Open the case and place your iPad against the back cover. The magnets will hold it securely in place.
  • Tilt the iPad to your preferred typing or viewing angle.

Check the Battery
Look at the small light on the right edge of the keyboard.
  • Green light: The battery is charged and ready to use.
  • Red light: The battery is low.
  • To charge: Plug your charging cable into the port on the right corner of the case.

Open Bluetooth on Your iPad
  • Tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gray gear).
  • Tap Bluetooth.
  • Make sure the Bluetooth switch is set to ON (it will be green).

Put the Keyboard in Pairing Mode
  • Find the fn key and the C key on the bottom row of the keyboard.
  • Press and hold both keys at the same time for 3 seconds.
  • A light will start flashing to show the keyboard is searching for your iPad.

Finish the Connection
  • Look at your iPad screen under the list called "Other Devices".
  • Tap the keyboard name when it appears. You may see:
o BELKIN BBZ001
o BELKIN BBZ002
o BELKIN BBZ003
  • Wait for the screen to say Connected.

Test Your Typing
  • Open an app like Notes.
  • Try typing a few letters.
  • If the letters appear on the screen, your setup is complete.
 
If It Does Not Work
Try these one at a time:
  • Turn Bluetooth OFF, then ON
  • Turn the keyboard OFF, then ON
  • Tap the keyboard name again in Bluetooth
Still not working?
  • Charge the keyboard
  • Make sure it is not connected to another device
