How to Connect Your Laptop to a TV or Monitor with ConnectAir
You will use:
-
RX = Receiver (goes on the TV/monitor)
-
TX = Transmitter (goes on the laptop)
Step 1: Set up the Receiver (RX) on the TV or Monitor
-
Plug in HDMI
Plug one end of the HDMI cable into an HDMI port on your TV or monitor.
-
Plug in USB power
Plug the RX’s USB cable into a USB-A port on the TV or into a USB power adapter.
The USB port must give enough power, so if the TV USB is weak, use a wall adapter.
-
Select the HDMI input
Turn on the TV or monitor.
Use the remote or buttons to pick the HDMI input where the RX is connected (for example: HDMI 1, HDMI 2).
You should now see the ConnectAir screen or a pairing screen on the TV/monitor.
Step 2: Plug the Transmitter (TX) into Your Laptop
Plug the TX into a USB-C port on your laptop.
If your laptop has more than one USB-C port, use the one with a small display/monitor icon if available. That port usually supports video.
Step 3: Put the Receiver (RX) in Pairing Mode
On the RX, find the reset button.
Press and hold the reset button for 2 seconds.
Release the button. The RX is now in pairing mode.
Step 4: Put the Transmitter (TX) in Pairing Mode
With the TX still plugged into your laptop, find the pairing button on the TX.
Press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds.
The LED on the TX will start flashing. This means it is trying to pair.
Wait up to 30 seconds.
If pairing works, your laptop screen should appear on the TV or monitor.
