Belkin ConnectAir Wireless Display Adapter Troubleshooting Guide

Issue: No video on the TV or monitor

1. Check power to the receiver (RX)

  • Make sure the RX is plugged into a USB-A port.

  • The USB-A port must provide at least 2.3 W.

  • If video still does not show, try a different USB-A port or a USB power adapter.

2. Check the HDMI connection

  • Make sure the HDMI cable is firmly plugged into the RX.

  • Make sure the other end is firmly plugged into the TV or monitor.

  • On the TV or monitor, select the HDMI input where the RX is connected (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).

3. Check if your device supports video over USB-C

  • The USB-C port on your laptop, tablet, or phone must support video (DisplayPort Alt Mode).

  • If the USB-C port does not support video, the ConnectAir cannot show an image.

4. Try re-pairing the TX and RX

  • On the RX (receiver): press and hold the reset button for 2 seconds.

  • On the TX (transmitter): press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds.

Issue: Transmitter will not pair or connect

1. Reset the receiver (RX)

  • Press and hold the reset button on the RX for 10 seconds.

  • This returns the RX to factory settings.

2. Reset the transmitter (TX)

  • Press and hold the pairing button on the TX for 5 seconds.

3. Try a different USB-C port

  • Unplug the TX from your device.

  • Plug it into a different USB-C port on the same device, if one is available.

Issue: Video is lagging, delayed, or looks blocky / pixelated

1. Shorten the distance and clear the path

  • Keep the TX and RX in the same room.

  • Move large metal objects, thick walls, or cabinets out of the way if possible.

2. Change the wireless band

  • On the RX, press the reset button once (a quick tap).

  • This switches between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

  • Wait a few seconds and check the video again
