TROUBLESHOOTING

1.  What should I do if my camera isn't showing the proper display while using the Belkin Tablet Stage?

2.  What should I do if the cables are blocking the camera's lens when using the Belkin Tablet Stage?

You can secure cables connected to your tablet using the Belkin Tablet Stage's cable management features.  Also, make sure that the camera lens is positioned over one of the tablet cradle's open holes.  For more information, click here.

3.  Where are the Belkin Stage app's videos saved on my tablet?

The Belkin Stage app automatically saves videos in the Photo Library of your device.

4.  How do I export videos from the Belkin Stage app to my computer?

The Belkin Stage app automatically saves videos to the Photo Library of your device.  To transfer the files to your computer, connect your tablet to your computer with your USB cable.  Then, import them using your favorite photo management software.  For iOS, you can use iPhoto®.

5.  How do I prepare images to use as backgrounds in the Belkin Stage app?

The Belkin Stage app can use any image from your Photo Library as a background.  You can take photos with the camera on your tablet or take a screenshot.  Using the Belkin Stage app, tap the snapshot icon to capture what's on screen.  This will let you prepare screens ahead of time.

6.  How do I change the recording settings in the Belkin Stage app?

Tap on the navigation Menu icon and select Video Settings.  You can change the recording quality by selecting Low, Medium, or High from the menu.  If you want the recording to have audio, make sure the toggle button is slid to the ON position.  Otherwise, tap the button to switch to OFF

Most video sharing sites, including Vimeo, have their own free apps that make it easy to upload videos from your tablet.

9.  What should I do if the Belkin Stage app crashed?

The Belkin Stage app is memory and processor-intensive.  It has been extensively tested on all generations of iPad and iPad mini® running iOS 5 and above.  If it crashes, there are three fixes that you can try:

Option 1:  Close the app completely and restart it.
Option 2:  Force close the app.
Option 3:  Uninstall and reinstall Belkin Stage app.

For step-by-step instructions, click here.

NOTE:  If the crash continues to happen, click here to get contact information and provide the following details:

  • iPad version you are using
  • iOS version installed
  • Last action taken before experiencing the crash
  • Confirmation whether or not the device continues to crash after restarting it

10.  Why is my presentation in the Belkin Stage app lost after I switched to another app?

If you stop recording, you must let your video finish saving in the Photo Library before you exit the app.  Depending on what you are doing outside the app, an iOS cleanup will follow by removing your partially recorded video from memory with no way to recover it.
