Before you begin:
- Connect the Wemo Dimmer WDS070 to your home wiring. For instructions click here. Once done, turn the power back ON. The Wemo Dimmer will boot up but not directly into setup mode.
- Place the Wemo Dimmer WDS070 into setup mode. Press any button on the Wemo Dimmer WDS070 when the status LED begins to flash white. The status light will begin flashing blue to indicate it is now in setup mode.
Using NFC setup
If your iOS device supports NFC, you can use this for a quick and easy setup.
Step 1: Unlock your iOS device and hold it near the Wemo Dimmer WDS070. The NFC transmitter is located in the center of the unit. Depending upon your iOS device model, you may need to move it up or down slowly to an active NFC setup.
Step 2: Once detected, a setup prompt will appear. Tap Add to Home to add to your Home app.
The Apple Home app will take over and continue the setup for you. Simply follow any on-screen prompts. Once the Home app finishes the setup, you can begin customizing and using your Wemo Dimmer WDS070.

Using HomeKit® code setup
If your iOS device does not support NFC, you can use the Homekit setup code located in the quick start guide that came with your Wemo Dimmer WDS070. If you misplaced this code, you can also find it on the front of the Wemo Dimmer WDS070 behind the faceplate.
Step 1: Open the Apple Home app and tap on the plus ( + ) sign located in the top-right-hand corner of the app.
Step 2: Tap on Add Accessory.
Step 3: Locate the HomeKit setup code and scan it with your device’s camera.
NOTE: The HomeKit code can be found on the quick start guide that came in the package with your Wemo Dimmer WDS070 or on the front of the dimmer located under the faceplate.
