How to send media to a display device using the Belkin MediaPlay from your Belkin router with Media Server support

This article will provide you with instructions on how to use the Belkin MediaPlay to beam media from a USB hard drive that is connected to your router’s USB port to a display device (eg. Smart TV) that supports Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA®) or AirPlay®.
Before starting:
  • Make sure your display device is detected by the MediaPlay.  To learn more about this, click here.
  • The display device must support DLNA or AirPlay.
  • Make sure the Media Server feature is enabled on the router and you have a USB drive connected to the USB port on the router.  For instructions on how to enable the Media feature of your Belkin router, click here.
  • The display device must be connected to your router’s network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable in order for it to appear on the list.
