- Checking your Belkin router’s WAN IP address
The Wide Area Network (WAN) IP address of your router is the address supplied by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Your router's WAN IP address can be check in the router's web-based setup page. This article will guide you on how to check your router's WAN IP address. Follow the steps below to learn how:
QUICK TIP: Before you begin, make sure your computer has active Internet connection.
Launch a web browser like Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Then enter your router's IP address.
QUICK TIP: The default IP address of Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1.
On the Router Setup page, enter your router's administrator Password. You will be then asked for your log-in details. Enter your device's password on the Password field then click Submit.
NOTE: If your device is not yet configured, leave the Password field blank and click Submit.
On the Internet Settings page, look for WAN IP address. If your computer has active Internet connection, you will see a valid IP address.
If your computer is not connected to the Internet, you will see NULL on your WAN IP, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Address.
