Checking the DHCP Client List of your Belkin router

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a protocol for assigning dynamic IP Addresses to devices on a network.  With dynamic addressing, a device does not need to be manually configured with an IP Address.

You can view the computers connected to your Belkin router assigned with a dynamic IP Address by accessing the DHCP Client List.  To do so, follow the instructions below.

Step 1:
Access the web-based setup page by opening a web browser such as Internet Explorer®.

Step 2:
Enter http://router or the router's default IP Address, in the Address bar and press [Enter]

NOTE:  If you have changed your router's IP Address, use that instead.  For instructions on how to check your router's IP Address, click here.

Step 3:
Click Login.
Step 4:
Belkin routers do not have a default password, just click Submit.

NOTE:  If you already set up a password, enter it in the Password field then click Submit.

Step 5:
Click DHCP Client List.

NOTE:  The DHCP Client List will be displayed showing you the IP Address, Host Name and MAC Address of each computer that is connected to your network.

NOTE:  You can click the Refresh button to update the list.
