Installing the USB Control Center for USB-enabled Belkin routers

The USB Control Center is an optional software that you can download for your USB-enabled Belkin router.  It helps manage and monitor the use of your USB printers and hard drives that are connected to the USB ports at the back of your router. 
 
NOTE:  This article assumes that you have already downloaded the USB Control Center.  For instructions on how to download the software, click here.
 
IMPORTANT:  The Belkin USB Control Center (Printer Utility) is not compatible
with OS X® El Capitan 10.11.  We are currently working on a solution to fix this problem.  To know more, click here.

Step 1:
Locate and extract the downloaded USB Control Center Installer.  Right-click the file then select the Extract All… option.

Step 2:
Double-click Cosetup to start the installation.

Step 3:
Click Run.

Step 4:
Click the Next > button.

IMPORTANT:  Make sure that you temporarily close any firewall or security software that may prevent the installation from running.

Step 5:
Click Start.

Step 6:
Click the User-added image button then wait for the software to start the installation.

Step 7:
When a prompt appears, click User-added image  to proceed.
 
NOTE:  You will be notified once the USB Control Center software installation is finished.
 
Step 8:
When the USB Control Center Install window appears, click Finish.

You have now successfully installed your USB Control Center on your Windows computer.
 
After the installation process is completed, click the USB Control Center file to install the printer so that it can communicate with your router and other devices in your Wi-Fi.
 
QUICK TIP:  Your printer has a default name assigned to it by the manufacturer, for example, "Canon Pixma MP490".  If you've renamed the printer to something like "Kitchen Printer", that name will appear instead.

Step 1:
After downloading the software, a folder containing the USB Control Center installer will appear.

Step 2:
Double-click the USB Control Center Installer to start the installation.

Step 3:
When you are prompted by the following message, click Open to proceed.

Step 4:
When the Welcome to the USB Control Center Installer window appears, click Continue.

Step 5:
Select the folder where you want the USB Control Center software to be installed by clicking on the Change Install Location... button.  Once done, click Install to proceed.

Step 6:
When prompted, enter your password.  Click Install Software.

NOTE:  You will be receiving a notification message that the USB Control Center software is being installed on your computer.

Step 7:
When the The installation was successful. window appears, click Restart.

You have now successfully installed your USB Control Center on your Mac computer.
 
After the installation process is completed, click the USB Control Center file to install the printer so that it can communicate with your router and other devices in your Wi-Fi.
