Troubleshooting slow Internet speed on your iPhone® or iPad® while connected to a Belkin router

If you are experiencing slow internet connection speed on your iPhone® or iPad® while connected to your Belkin Play N600 Wireless Dual-Band N Router, F7D8302 or Belkin Play Wireless RouterF7D4302, you will need to set the WMM QoS settings for the 2.4 GHz band to OFF to fix the problem.

The steps below will guide you in turning OFF the router’s WMM QoS settings:

Step 1:
Launch a web browser like Internet Explorer®.

Step 2:
Enter "192.168.2.1" or "http://router"  in the Address bar and press [Enter] to access the router's web-based setup page.

NOTE:  If the default IP address doesn't work, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.
 
You will then be directed to the router's web-based setup page.  If you want to change or configure any settings, you will need to log in with your router's administrator password by clicking on Login at the top-right corner of the page.

Step 3:
Enter your router's Password.  If you did not set up a password, you can leave the field blank.  Click Submit.

Step 4:
Click the User-added image tab on the left column.

Step 5:
On the Wireless page, click the User-added image link.

Step 6:
Set the 802.11e/WMM QoS> to OFF.

Step 7:
Click User-added image to save the changes.
