Wemo devices can’t be controlled using Google Assistant

If you have an issue in controlling your Wemo® devices using Google Assistant™, you can try to fix this issue by renaming your device.  Follow the tips below then you can proceed in setting a new nickname for your device.  For more information about this, click here.
 
Tips for renaming your Wemo devices:
 
  • Avoid including numbers, special character (such as *,@,$, or #) and/or room names in your device nickname.
  • If you’re naming lights that are connected to plugs or switches, you can add plug or switch to the nickname. 
  • Don’t use similar nicknames for different devices.
