Connecting the Sony PlayStation® Portable or PSP™ to a wireless network allows you to browse web pages and sites, download new games, listen to Internet radio, play multiplayer games online, and even use the RSS Channel to get news and other information.
This article will provide you with instructions on how to connect your Sony PSP™ to the wireless network and take advantage of these features.
Step 1:
On your PSP™ device, go to Settings and then select Network Settings.
Step 2:
Select Infrastructure Mode.
Step 3:
Select [New Connection].
Step 4:
In the WLAN Settings screen, select Scan then press the
(right) button on your device.
Step 5:
Select your wireless network name (SSID) then press the right button on your device.
Step 6:
Confirm your selected SSID by pressing right.
Step 7:
Select the security setting of your wireless network then press the right button.
NOTE: The PSP™ device usually highlights the security setting used by the router.
Step 8:
Press the X button to enter the network security key or password.
Step 9:
Enter your network password, then press START button.
Step 10:
Press right when you see the following screens:
If you want to edit the connection name, press X. Enter your desired network name and then press Start.
In this example, the belkin.b26 has been changed to homeNetwork.
Step 11:
Once the Setting List is displayed, press right.
Step 12:
Press X to save the settings.
Step 13:
Press X to test the connection.
The following screens will be displayed.
