The Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro with DockKit, MMA008 lets you attach your MagSafe®-compatible iPhone® and use your favorite video and messaging apps to track your movement. When using the Belkin Stand Pro, there are some essential considerations to ensure proper operation of the unit and the safety of both the Belkin Stand Pro and your iPhone.
Allow ample clearance for proper rotation and tracking
The Belkin MMA008 should be allowed at least 6 inches of clearance on all sides. This ensures room to rotate without being impeded or having your iPhone collide with an object, knocking it off the stand. Also, objects that are too close to the Belkin MMA008 may block the view of your phone's camera, leading to your video app losing track of you.
Ensure proper, stable placement during use
The Belkin MMA008 should be placed on a flat, stable surface or securely connected to a tripod or mount. This will ensure that it will not become off balance while rotating. If the unit becomes off balance, it risks damaging the Belkin MMA008 and your iPhone.
When using a tripod or mount, the Belkin Stand Pro should be as close to a 90-degree vertical angle as possible with the ground. Using at an angle perpendicular to the ground can cause damage to the Belkin MMA008 motors or exhibit rotation difficulties.
Do not touch the top rotating half of the Belkin Stand Pro when it is in motion, nor make any manual adjustments to the Belkin Stand Pro’s position or orientation. Holding or twisting this portion of the Belkin MMA008 can damage the motor and gears of the unit.
If manual adjustments are necessary, disable the tracking functionality and hold only the lower portion of the base where the on/off button is located.
Should you need to relocate the Belkin MMA008, remove any iPhone from the MagSafe pad first. This will reduce the chance of damaging your iPhone by slipping off the MagSafe mount.
