If you are using an iOS device with iOS 14 or later, you can disable the chime in the settings. This allows you to turn the chime ON and OFF whenever you like. Changing this setting only impacts the ringing of the mechanical chime. The doorbell itself will still make a sound to let the person know the button was pressed.
NOTE: If you are using iOS 13 or earlier, you will not be able to follow these steps. You will need to install the chime bypass connector instead and follow the steps to place the doorbell in bypass mode.
Step 1: Open The Home App and tap on the tile for your Wemo Doorbell.
Step 2: Tap on the gear icon to bring up the device settings. The setting is automatically saved when and applied as soon as you tap on the X to close the settings page.
Step 3: Scroll down to Chime Doorbell. Tap on the slider to enable and disable the chime.
