NOTE: Turning OFF iCloud recording for your doorbell does not immediately remove any stored videos. The videos will remain until the 10 day deletion period is reached or you manually remove them.
How to Delete a Single Recorded Video Clip
If you are running short on space or you want to remove a video clip from your timeline before the 10 days are up, you can do this using the Home app.
Step 1: Open the Apple® Home app and locate the tile for your Doorbell.
Step 2: Tap on the tile to load the camera view. By default, you will be shown the live camera feed.
NOTE: At the bottom of the screen is the video timeline. All recorded videos will show here. Tapping on any of these recordings will select and begin to play it.
Step 3: Tap on the share button.
Step 4: Tap on the video you wish to share or save to highlight it and then tap the trash can icon.
Step 5: On the confirmation pop-up, tap on Delete Clip to remove it from your stored clips.
How to Erase All Recordings From Your iCloud Account
You can erase all currently available iCloud stored recordings for this camera through the recording options screen in the Home app. This will not impact your doorbell other than removing recordings up to this point.
Step 1: Open your Apple Home app and navigate to your doorbell. Tap on the tile to open the Doorbell window then tap on the gear icon to open the Wemo Doorbell settings.
Step 2: Tap on Recording Options.
Step 3: Tap on More Options.
Step 4: Tap on Erase This Camera’s Recordings.
Remove the Wemo Doorbell from your Home
When you remove the Wemo Doorbell from your Home app, it also removes all recordings stored for it on iCloud. After removing the doorbell from your Home, it will need to be factory restored to be set up again.
