The following are included in the box:
- Bracket - This connects to your doorbell wiring system and holds your Wemo Doorbell onto the wall. It is used in both straight and angled mounting.
- Left/right wedge - This fits between your wall and the mounting bracket. It can be rotated to allow for a left or right angle placement of your Wemo Doorbell.
Pointing the Wemo Doorbell forward (Flush Mount)
A forward facing mount holds the doorbell flush against the wall and faces straight forward in the direction opposite of that wall.
Place the bracket directly on the wall and screw it in place. Connect your Doorbell wires to the screw terminals and place your Wemo Doorbell onto the bracket, securing it in place with the security screw.
Pointing left or right (Angled Mount)
If your doorbell is on a wall that does not face out from the door (usually to the side of the door) you can use the included mounting wedge along with the bracket to mount on the wall. The mounting wedge will angle your Wemo Doorbell out from the wall slightly at a 20 degree angle to help it face out from the door.
Place the wedge on the wall and secure it using the included longer mounting screws.
Using the included smaller mounting screws, attach the bracket to the wedge to secure it in place.
How to choose the best mounting option for your Wemo Doorbell
Choosing the best mounting option depends on where you will be placing your doorbell. Typically, the doorbell is placed to face towards the walkway leading up to your door. Depending on the location of your doorbell, you will want to use the correct mount.
