Setting up the Belkin RX7500 using WPS

The Belkin WiFi 6 Range Extender, RX7500 can be set up using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS).  This article will show you the steps on how to do so.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure your existing WiFi router is set up and working.
  • If you turned OFF WPS on your WiFi router, this method will not work.  You must have WPS enabled.
  • If you have set up MAC filtering on your WiFi router, you will need to enter the MAC address of the range extender.  Also, make sure this feature is properly configured on the range extender.

Step 1:
Plug the range extender into a wall outlet that is close to your router.  Wait for the light to change to orange.

Step 2:
Press the WPS button on your router.

Step 3:
Press the WPS button on the side panel of your range extender.  The WPS pairing is in the process when the light of Belkin RX7500 starts blinking blue.

Step 4:
Wait for the light to turn solid blue.  This means the pairing is successful.  If the light is solid orange, this means WPS pairing has failed.

NOTE:  If you have a dual-Band or tri-Band router, repeat Steps 2 to 4 to extend your other network.

Your Belkin range extender should now be set up using WPS.  You may now access the web-based setup page.  For instructions, click here.
