If your Belkin KVM Switch, F1DP108G or F1DP116G, has the original firmware version 3.0.1.41 and you want to upgrade to version 3.02.42, you need to upgrade to Gen1x first.

Step 5:
Click Yes.

NOTE:  Gen1x.up is used from the regular https://xxx.xxx.xxx/config.  The switch will report this new version as 0.0.0.

Reboot your KVM switch after performing the firmware upgrade.

NOTE:  The KVM switch will return to its default settings if it was upgraded from the regular configuration pages and not from Safe Mode.

Phase 2:

Step 1:
Log in to your KVM switch with admin | access credentials.

Step 2:
Upgrade your KVM switch to its specific firmware.  Use the following device-specific firmware files:

KVM Switch Firmware file
F1DP108G (8-port) 30242BLK8.up
F1DP116G (16-port)30242BLK16.up
NOTE:  This is the only thing you can do after the Phase 1 upgrade.

Step 3:
Reboot your KVM switch after performing the firmware upgrade.

Step 4:
Log in to your KVM Switch with admin | SMB remote credentials.

Step 5:
On the Network > Configuration page, enter 900, 901 and 902 in the TCP Port field.

NOTE:  Three (3) TCP ports will be populated with correct values if the device firmware is version 3.0.1.41 and will be set to zero (0) if the device firmware has a lower version.

Step 6:
Restore your KVM switch to its factory default settings to ensure all post-upgrade settings are correctly written to the switch’s flash memory.

Step 7:
Restart the web browser and delete the existing client from your computer.

Step 8:
Log in to your computer and install the new certificate and ActiveX plug-in.

You have now successfully upgraded your KVM switch to version 3.02.42.  This firmware includes the following fixes:
  • Fix for the Microsoft XML patch issue.
  • Changes the color of the remote toolbar.
